PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Welcome to the Florida chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers' (AAML) website!

Listed on this website are the Fellows of the Florida Chapter.  The Fellows are matrimonial and family law attorneys  who are Board Certified and who specialize in the area of Marital and Family law.  The Fellows are further distinguished by virtue of that they have  passed rigorous National and Local exams, including a peer review from Judges and other Family lawyers to ensure they have the skills, ethical standards, and substantive knowledge to provide excellent representation to clients in this complex area of law.  The more than 1600 AAML Fellows across the United States are generally recognized by judges and attorneys as preeminent family law practitioners with a high level of knowledge, skill and integrity.

Most importantly, all Fellows agree to practice under the Bounds of Advocacy, a code  which sets forth a higher ethical standard than general state Bar guidelines and provides guidance in ethical and moral issue when dealing with children and family issues.
        
The goal of the AAML is to promote the highest degree of professionalism and excellence in the practice of family law, and to promote a problem-solving approach to divorce, which lessens emotional trauma and urges both the attorneys and the parties to proceed in a more reasoned cooperative approach while the attorneys competently represents their clients.

Clients and referring lawyers can be assured that when utilizing one of the Fellows, the client will be zealously represented by a skilled and proficient lawyer in the area of Marital and Family law.

Further, the Fellows support continuing legal education in Marital and Family Law through their annual Institute program. The program is known for its known for its cutting-edge sophistication and focus on advanced, complex marital and family law issues, and is guided toward elevating the standard of practice in this area by teaching the practical and ethical aspects of matrimonial law to the Bench and Bar.

The Institute this year is being held on April 28 through April 30, 2011 at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando.  It should be a great program. I invite all of you to attend to become more knowledgeable in Marital and Family law.
